Senseworks has secured €3 million in a funding round led by Industrifonden to digitalize the highly manual audit industry. Their SaaS platform automatically connects data from various systems in real time, integrating analysis, documentation, review, and audit work into a single tool. Senseworks is revolutionizing audit processes, reducing workloads for firms and allowing more time for value-creating tasks.

Launched in 2022, Senseworks’ platform has experienced rapid growth and now serves over 60 customers, including international audit firms. The platform offers a fast and easy implementation and onboarding process, providing auditors with a modern and collaborative user interface. The company aims to improve the traditionally cumbersome and manual processes of the industry. Customers report a significant increase in efficiency while also reducing administrative burdens and increasing their audit quality. By automating data, transactions, and information gathering, the platform eliminates reliance on various Excel templates and other tools.

“We are grateful for the confidence our investors have shown in us. This new capital allows us to accelerate the development of our digital platform and continue improving the industry. Our vision is to create better conditions for auditors and accounting professionals, allowing them to focus on more meaningful and value-driving tasks,” says Alexander Ögren, CEO of Senseworks.

The funding round was led by Industrifonden, with participation from Kaknäs Invest and previous investors Curitas Ventures and Partnerinvest Norr. Among the early investors are industry profiles such as Sara Uhlén, former board member and partner at Grant Thornton, and Helene Willberg, former CEO of KPMG Sweden.

“Senseworks has quickly demonstrated its ability to build a strong, competitive product that addresses significant market demand. We are impressed with their team and rapid growth pace, and we look forward to supporting their ongoing journey,” says Caroline Wadstein from Industrifonden.

The new capital will be used to accelerate growth. To meet demand, Senseworks is strengthening its teams within Customer Success and Product, with the goal of maintaining high service levels and further developing the platform. Senseworks will soon launch an audit module, enabling customers to manage the entire audit process in a single application—from data collection, analysis, and documentation to reporting and follow-up.

The audit industry experiences a 20% annual staff turnover, driven by repetitive tasks, high stress levels, and a demanding audit season in which most auditors work overtime. Senseworks is dedicated to improving working conditions by helping auditors and accounting staff manage seasonal workload fluctuations, allowing them to focus on higher-value tasks. The goal is to promote a healthier work-life balance, especially during the industry’s peak periods.
