SaltX Technology appoints Lina Jorheden as acting CEO and strengthens its financial position with additional funding
SaltX Technology, a leader in sustainable industrial solutions, has appointed Lina Jorheden as its acting CEO. This leadership change coincides with new funding from Industrifonden and SMA Mineral to advance SaltX’s technologies aimed at eliminating industrial carbon emissions.
SaltX is reinforcing its financial base with a conditional loan totaling MSEK 20. This funding will support the ongoing development of SaltX’s Electric Arc Calciner (EAC) technology, targeting the lime and cement sectors, which are significant contributors to global CO2 emissions. Following significant advancements at its Hofors research center, SaltX is preparing the EAC technology for widespread use. The new funds will help complete the development needed for large-scale industrial use.
Lina Jorheden, who has been COO since May 2023, now takes on the CEO role. Her extensive experience in the international industrial sector and her proven leadership capabilities are expected to be crucial as SaltX moves forward.
Lina Jorheden, acting CEO, SaltX, said; “I am honored to lead our dedicated team and, with the trust and support of Industrifonden, to advance the industrialization of our electrification technology.”
Tobias Elmquist, Senior Investment Director at Industrifonden, commented; “We are enthusiastic about Lina’s vision for SaltX as the company moves into a vital phase of industrialization and commercialization. Her ability to lead is essential for their goal of achieving a zero-emission future in heavy industries.”
