Nayanika Bhalla, PhD has joined Industrifonden as an Associate on our Deep Tech team

We’re pleased to share that Nayanika Bhalla, PhD has joined Industrifonden as an Associate on our Deep Tech team.

Nayanika first joined us as a VC intern during the autumn, where she worked closely with the team across sourcing, evaluation and deep-tech landscape mapping. We’re very happy to now welcome her into a full-time role.

She focuses on turning frontier science and engineering into products with real-world impact. Her core interests span biotechnology platforms and tools, femtech and women’s health, and climate tech – always with a practical lens on commercialisation and access. She gravitates towards teams tackling health and climate challenges where commercial scale and measurable societal outcomes go hand in hand.

Previously, she invested with The Creator Fund’s student team and co-founded a startup focused on financial education for women. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology and an MSc in Medical Biotechnology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where her research included developing and applying spatial omics technologies.
