Industrifondenis proud to announce that Jonathan Ilicki, Investment Manager has been selected as a Marshall Memorial Fellow by the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF).T

The Marshall Memorial Fellowship (MMF) program, which was launched in 1982, is GMF’s flagship leadership development program and works to prepare its fellows from both sides of the Atlantic for transatlantic leadership. The program cultivates international bonds, develops leadership skills, and promotes democratic values and public diplomacy through active distance learning, leadership development seminars, and an immersive exchange experience. The MMF program creates a lasting network of alumni who are engaged in transatlantic affairs and work to adapt to contemporary global issues.

“We are proud that Jonathan has been selected as a Marshall Memorial Fellow – a well-deserved recognition. This fellowship comes at a particularly relevant time. It’s more important than ever to strengthen our U.S. partnerships and collaborations to develop breakthrough solutions addressing the largest challenges within life science and other areas” said Peter Wolpert, CEO of Industrifonden.

Jonathan Ilicki brings a multidisciplinary background spanning medicine, research, entrepreneurship, and venture capital. At Industrifonden, he focuses on investments in life science and health-related technologies, working closely with founders, international co-investors, and partners to help scale Nordic innovations globally. His experience at the intersection of healthcare systems, science-driven innovation, and long-term capital makes him a strong addition to the Marshall Memorial Fellowship network.

“As Europe and the United States face mounting challenges to democracy, remaining engaged on both sides of the Atlantic and developing the next generation of leaders who will promote democratic values and public diplomacy is imperative to GMF’s mission,” said Sarah Jones, Managing Director of Leadership Programs at GMF.

The MMF program is named in honor of George C. Marshall, a US general and statesman who played a key role in transatlantic relations after World War II through the Europe Recovery Program, more commonly known as the Marshall Plan, and is made possible with the support of the Kresge Foundation, the Cleveland Foundation, the Chicago Community Trust, Phokion Potamianos, alumni contributions, and GMF.
