Claire is Industrifonden’s Research Advisor, supporting Industrifonden’s research-driven approach to investment. Claire’s academic research looks at the interplay between organisational activities and autonomous technologies, and how they lead to—and broadly affect—value creation processes. Her PhD thesis, Crowds, Coins and Communities: Digital Entrepreneuring in Emerging Financial Infrastructures, was awarded the Börje Langefors prize (2018), the Peter Högfeldt Award (2019), and a Wallander post- doctoral scholarship. It examined digital entrepreneurship mediated by digital platforms and infrastructures, among them the Blockchain, in the area of FinTech.

Claire holds a PhD from the Stockholm School of Economics, as well as a postgraduate Law degree from the University of Cape Town, and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the same university.
