Elena Vallin invests in Nordic B2B software at Industrifonden, backing companies at inflection points after fifteen years operating through them: JPMorgan in New York and London, Klarna through its international expansion, and executive seats at two Stockholm scale-ups.

The regulatory shift that opens a market, the business model that has to change, the financing that decides what a company becomes: Elena has crossed all three. At Klarna, analytics and business development as it expanded internationally and became a bank. At Dreams, a B2C to B2B transformation and an acquisition. At Doconomy, a merger integration and its Series B.

That history shapes how Elena works with founders. She has sat in the operator's seat through the decisions founders are making, so her attention goes to what will matter twelve months out. Mostly to how a first market gets built: the point where a genuinely new solution finds its first buyers and its first rules.

Elena is drawn to teams building through complexity rather than around it, and to the scale of what this moment allows: AI is making it possible to rebuild entire industries from first principles, and she wants to back the people doing it in ways that leave the world measurably better.

Elena grew up in Brooklyn, studied finance and philosophy at Baruch College, and has called Stockholm home for over a decade. She finds clarity diving, backpacking, and on the yoga mat.
