Industrifonden teams up with Beetroot Academy to support Ukrainian refugees to start a new career in tech
Believing that tech education is an impactful and effective way to help restore the lives for Ukrainians affected by the war as well as bringing talents to the tech ecosystem, Industrifonden is happy to sponsor Beetroot Academy with 10 scholarships for tech education.
“We are grateful for the support from Industrifonden which we know will make a real difference for the lives of ten people,” says Andreas Flodström, CEO and Founder of Beetroot. “The education will lay a foundation for these people to start building a new and secure life, with the practical skills required to get a job in tech.”
The scolarships from Industrifonden will be used to provide tech education, more specifically education in IT development and IT project management. The four-month long education, led by professional teachers, is carefully tailored to suit current market needs and can be combined with internship. On top of the education, students will get access to Beetroot’s alumni community where experienced graduates help their peers by guiding them through their career switch, sharing news and vacancies, and acting as mentors. They will also be connected to Beetroots extensive network to assist in making the right connections to find a job in tech.
“We are really impressed by the work Beetroot Academy has accomplished so far and share their belief that tech education is an impactful and effective way to help restore the lives for those affected by the war,” says Peter Wolpert, CEO of Industrifonden. “We are very proud to be able to support 10 talented individuals to start a career in tech and hope that more companies will join us in supporting as well.”
