Industrifonden sells shares in Arcam

May 21, 2015

Industrifonden has sold its entire holding in the 3D printing firm Arcam, corresponding to about 10.4 percent of the capital and votes. The buyer was a major US institutional investor.

The sale means that Industrifonden has now concluded its multi-year engagement in Arcam. Industrifonden had been involved with the company since 1999, first as a lender and, since 2002, as an owner. Industrifonden was the largest single owner in Arcam and has sold its shares in three stages since 2013.

“This is by far one of Industrifonden’s best investments ever,” said Thomas Carlström, Investment Manager at Industrifonden. “For 17 years we played a part in building Arcam with its pioneering technology into the international company it is today. Arcam’s future looks bright, but our role is done. This successful investment now provides us with the capital for new investments.”
